Who we are. Nautical IT (ABN 20 117 156 635) provides managed IT, cyber security and governance services from Melbourne, Australia. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect. When you contact us through this website we collect the details you provide: your name, organisation, email address, and the content of your enquiry. Our website host (Cloudflare) processes standard technical logs such as IP addresses for security and performance purposes.

How we use it. We use your information to respond to your enquiry and, where you engage us, to deliver our services. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your enquiry details for marketing without your consent.

Who else touches it. Website enquiries are transmitted to us via Web3Forms, a form-delivery service, and stored in our Microsoft 365 environment. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments; some processing may occur outside Australia.

How we protect it. We apply the same controls we implement for clients: encrypted transmission and storage, access limited to those who need it, and multi-factor authentication on our systems.

Automated decisions. We do not use your personal information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you.

Access and correction. You can request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you by emailing enquiries@nauticalit.com.au. If you have a privacy concern we will respond within a reasonable time; you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
